Protector
After taking my sweet time in deciding on what to advocate as far as my public advocacy goes, I have decided to side with the Anti-Litter cause. I had a couple of other ideas like, the Endangered Species cause, and the Population Control cause. But especially on the latter cause I figured not that many people would get involved. I choose Anti-Litter because I really dispise litterbugs. There is no reason for littering. We have to take care of our environment and the Earth as best as we possibly can. Otherwise it will fall back on us, when we need it the most. I'm a firm advocate for protecting the environment. And so I will advocate the Anti-Litter cause.

While this is an important issue, it is very overdone. How do you plan on making it original and affective? What types of literature do you plan on utilizing?
ReplyDeleteWell, I thought about what you said and I was also thinking about those same issues you brought up before and I think I'm branching out. I plan to advocate not just for Anti-Litter, but also something to do along the lines of preventing deforestation. I plan on using my musical prowess as a form of public advocacy. As far as originality goes, I'll just throw some creativity into it.
ReplyDeletethrowing around creativity is always fun. is music your only main method right now or are you going to use actually literature like a pamphlet or something?
ReplyDeleteProbably pamphlets and fact sheets.
ReplyDeleteI think that an anti-liter public sphere would be great. I know that one thing you could have available is that phone number that the police give out, and if you see a person littering while they are driving, you call that number and give the police their license plate number. That person will later receive a littering ticket. I like your other ideas that you responded to the comments with! Maybe you could find a picture of a highly litered place. But overall, i think it is a very good idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your input. I like hearing other people's takes on OSD. It helps me to refocus.
